This captive-bred Poecilotheria metallica sling, also known as the Gooty Sapphire Ornamental, is a future showstopper in the making. While its vivid blue adult coloration hasn’t fully developed yet, this Old World arboreal species already displays intricate patterns and fast growth potential.

As a sling, it’s currently healthy, feeding well on pre-killed or small live prey, and beginning to show its signature behaviors. P. metallica slings thrive in tall enclosures with good cross-ventilation, slightly elevated humidity, and vertical hides for webbing.

This species is quick, defensive, and best suited for experienced keepers, but it rewards patience with some of the most striking coloration in the tarantula world. A rare and exciting addition to any collection!
